Inquiry: Identifying Variables

Today our students identified possible variables that they could manipulate in order to achieve different responses that they could measure. They were given meter sticks, varying shapes and sizes of blocks of wood, rulers, science spheres varying in shape and size, and timers. This brainstorming activity was used to construct an inquiry wheel, which could be later used to develop testable scientific questions.
