Garden Beginnings

Today the 7th grade class built the container for our new native butterfly garden. They worked together to assemble a 4'x15'x2' cedar container. Soon we will be getting our hands dirty filling it with gravel and dirt. We still have a lot of work to do. . . Gravel, Dirt, Plants, Oh my!

We also started planting hostas around the trees out front. Wow, it's amazing what a few hostas can do! It looks better already.

I think we all had a lot of fun digging up the creatures in our dirt.

After school the Garden Club started giving the entrances to our buildings some color by planting some colorful annuals in our small planters.
